We are Home : Shuswap - Salmon Arm, BC
βThat's the dreamβ¦β
As we walked hand-in-hand around the downtown, heritage core, admiring the colours, buildings, business and people surrounding us, we simply smiled at each other and both said βThis is home".
Dreams are merely Goals without Action.
Unless you are WINE, Age does NOT Matter : BEYOND THE SESSION
βMy mother was diagnosed with breast cancer when I was 31, she died of cancer 7 years later. I remember turning 57, I was with a bunch of girlfriends, and I said 'you know this is a special birthday for me because I never expected to last this long!' Because I made it longer than my mother did.β£
And so I figure every year now, every day, every anniversary, every birthday is a gift from what my mother had. My mother never got this. β - Helen
Sabbatical : Where have I been?
I have lost count of how many times I thought I was ready to make a come back to social media after my abrupt departure a few months ago.
Just when I would feel ready, something new would derail me.
If 2020 was considered a challenging year, I am left speechless as to how to refer to 2021.
you can ABSOLUTELY rock Short Hair for your Boudoir Photo Session
I adore her short platinum hair.
Part of me is envious as I have always wanted short hair but it just never felt right on me. I ended up telling her and her response was that she is jelly of my ginger locks haha.
Ain't that always the way?

5 Ways to Treat Yourself Like Your Best Friend
βLove yourself.β Itβs a saying we hear all the time these daysβfrom TV shows, magazines, blogs, and books. But what does it really mean to love yourself? How do you make self-love a part of your everyday life?
The best way to truly love yourself is to treat yourself just like you would your best friend. When it comes to our closest friends, we only see the positive in them. We donβt criticize them or point out their flaws. We help them feel empowered, encouraging them and cheering them on.
But we rarely treat ourselves this wayβ¦
2020 Rearview - in the Vancouver boudoir studio
2020 - What a year!
I am sure, like me, many of you have found yourselves hung up on all the negatives this year brought about. Some of which, for me, were seemingly devastating at the time, even without a world wide pandemic. However, now that the longest year ever is finally coming to a close, I find myself looking back at 2020 with a lighter heart.
While the studio saw far fewer clients than an average year, this year was anything but average.
Dear Men⦠xo Your Boudoir Photographer
Dear Men, I am sorry.
I am sorry that you mustered up the courage to look for a photographer and you struggled to find one that was willing to work with you.
I run an inclusive studio, so it should come as no surprise to you that I would photograph men. However, sadly, it is not common place. Specially in regards to Intimate Portraits and Boudoir.

hit the reset button
Joao is so methodical, unlike myself, in how he approaches his sessions. It was a great reminder to my high energy self and ADHD brain to take pause, breathe and just be present in the moment. As well, he managed to reignite my creative soul. I took a journey back to younger feels and reconnected with my intuitive self.
hind sight : 2020
Octβ¦ wasnβt it just March?
My world feels like it got a little smaller on so many fronts.
But you know what? I am still here. A little worse for wear, perhaps, but still here.
And that is something worth celebrating!
Thank you Bob Sala for honouring me with your lens.
Travel Bug - Canadian Photographer
I caught the travel bug later in life. 2.5 years of travel under my belt and I was just getting into the groove and then ... Covid-19.
My heart is heavy as 2020 would have seen me venture to another continent. Australia and New Zealand, I will get there eventually. I can promise you that!

We're Back! First Session Post Covid-19 lock down
3 VERY long months of not being able to photograph other humans (selfies don't count ha!) There is a part of me that is very grateful for the pause. The slower pace of life suits me just fine!
But not being able to fill my creative cup is definitely detrimental to my mental health. I've missed it beyond measureβ¦
What to do when you have to #StayTheFuckHome

Busting Excuses : Why you deserve a Boudoir Experience!
Excuses stem from fear.
When we get nervous, we make excuses. We make excuses not to love ourselves or take care of ourselves. The biggest example that I have seen witnessed is when it comes to SELF CARE!
We all have excuses "I'm too busy... The kids need something... "
Allow me to share with you all the reasons you DO need to do this and help alleviate your fears β¦
